Public Proposal of the Day: Timothy Tiah’s syrupy proposal to his girlfriend Audrey will undoubtedly have you reaching for the insulin.
But it does have one neat thing going for it: The entire proposal was composed almost entirely of memes.
You like memes, don’t you? Sure you do. Memes!
Soon enough, life as we know it will be one giant meme.

Bruce Breitbarth of Jackson won $15,000 playing Frightful Cash
I just discovered the Minnesota State Lottery has their own flickr account.
Hold my calls please.
Confusing Copyright Infringement of the Day: Nicolas Cage and Holly Hunter as Hi and Ed McDunnough from the Coen Brothers’ Raising Arizona find themselves on the cover of a Serbian biology textbook.
As Redditor confusionion points out, what makes this choice of cover art particularly bizarre is that “Holly Hunter’s character is barren in Raising Arizona.” Ergo, “[t]hey’re not the biological parents.”

Image - a graphic that says:
“Occupy Black Friday
November 25
- Don’t use any credit cards
- Boycott malls/ dept stores
- Coordinate sit-ins in major department stores and malls
- Support small, local businesses
- Spread the word”
Awesome so I’ll just not have warm clothes this Winter.
….I loathe when these sort of things start circulating.
Also the whole sit in thing. Again why fuck with the little people? The people who make minimum wage or who won’t have a job come Jan 1 have to deal with all the things protestors do in their stores. They get in trouble, they lose their jobs.
When I worked in retail for a Big. Evil. Corp. People were always fucking with things in our store. Leaving shit everywhere as protest. Guess who that impacted? Not any of the people who could actually change anything. What really happened was people like me got yelled at, had to stay late and in my case often wound up not being able to get home at night because I had to stay to clean up some bullshit and missed my bus.
If people are so against all the big corporate evil why participate in corporate abuses by helping the employees get abused?
Also depending on where you life and what your economic situation is how much should you have to go without for the cause?
This time of year activism pushes my angry buttons.
What nudiemuse said. I’m not in a part of the world where Black Friday sales are a thing but it really bothers me when actions like this seek to affect marginalised groups instead of the privileged people.
Reblogging for agreement with commentary purposes.
This will be the first holiday season that I won’t be working retail in… years.

This is a story of burning bridges
and allowing time to pass
this is a story of forgiveness
and breaking things in my hands
this is a story of understanding
you can’t choose who you love
…
but you let me down so hard
….
oh and sometimes you say ‘you know nothing can happen’
and then she leans over and lifts off your glasses
and the next thing you know you’re just tangled and guilty
and you’ve got a head full of liquor and perfume
